アップルは昨年、音楽ＳＮＳ「ピング」を搭載したｉＴｕｎｅｓ10を発表した。当初はフェースブックと手を組むはずだったが、フェースブック側が「とんでもない条件」（故スティーブ・ジョブズの表現）を付けてきたため、交渉は決裂した。

　今年８月に発表した最新モバイルＯＳ「ｉＯＳ５」には、フェースブックのライバルであるツイッターのソフトを組み入れた。著名ブロガーのロバート・スコーブルによれば、なぜフェースブックにしなかったのかとアップル側に問うと、「（ＣＥＯの）マーク・ザッカーバーグが究極のクソ野郎だから」という答えが返ってきたそうだ。
